FAQ
What is the weight of wood in comparison with the other construction materials?
- Reinforced concrete is 5 times and steel 13 times heavier than wood.
- A reinforced carcass structure of 100 m2 weighs around 75 tons and a wooden carcass structure of 100 m2 around 2.5 to 4 tons.
How much resistant is wooden structures to earthquake?
- A structure built in sound condition is very resistant, but all structures on the fault zone sustain damage inevitably. A house whose roof has been engineered will not collapse easily. It may twist right or left, its gypsum boards, insulations, etc. may sustain damage, but the house will never collapse or subside.
Isn't the wood burn easier?
- Contrary to the belief, it has been scientifically proven that the most safe construction material in fire is wood. The most important safety factor is that the wood does not transmit heat and it carbonizes in fire. For this reason, buildings used by crowds, such as sport halls, are built on wooden carcass in the United States as a precaution against fire.
- If the size of a wooden member is taken slightly larger than the size calculated in the design, the outer layers of the wooden member will carbonize in a fire and act as a natural barrier protecting the inner wood and delaying the burning. It takes 1 hour for the burning of the entire building.
- Owing to its fire resistant properties, the wood is preferred over the steel in many parts of the world. The reason is that due to expansion of steel members in a fire, the steel roof structure and the interior walls between the columns may collapse within only 10 minutes. Whereas, wooden members maintain their load bearing capacity for 5 to 6 times longer time.
Does the wooden structure contribute to my health?
- People living in a wooden house feel themselves better physically and psychologically.
- The wood breaths just like living creatures. This contributes to healing of various diseases such as rheumatism, asthma, kidney diseases and blood circulation disorders.
- Because of the fact that the wood is harmonious with the nature, that it does not transmit the heat, and that it prevents moisture and humidity, it has positive contributions to the health of the people living in wooden houses.
How is the heat insulation of the wood?
-
- The wood is an energy friendly material. First of all, in wood processing, much less energy is consumed compared with the processing of the other construction materials. Heating of a wooden house consumes much less energy.
What materials are used for heat insulation?
- The wood is a non-conductive material. However, the thickness of the wooden members can be changed according to the location and the design of the house. If requested, additional insulation materials can be used.
How long does it take to complete a wooden house?
Erection of a wooden house takes 1 to 4 days depending on the size of the house.
Apart from the standard houses, we can build specially designed houses if the desired type of wood, the design of the house and the building technology are appropriate.
What kind of wood is used and what erection system is employed?
- We are building wooden structures in sizes from 4 m2 to 400 m2.
- In our products, we are using a special first class pine timber dried in oven imported from Siberia, Russia.
- Processed with advanced technology, the timbers (in thickness of 4.5 cm in structures up to 32 m2 and in thickness of 6 cm in larger structures) are erected on top of another by means of dovetail system.
- We don't use nails, screws, nuts, washers and rivets for the erection of the wooden members. For this reason, the wooden structures can be dismantled and re-erected many times with zero damage to the wooden members.
- Our wooden structures are very strong owing to a special dovetail system employed in the corners of the wooden members.
Do you cover all over Turkey?
- We can build a wooden structure for you wherever you want in the country.
Do I have to obtain a license for the construction of my house?
- Yes, you have to obtain a license from the municipality of the area where your house will be built.
How long does it take for you to deliver my house?
- The delivery term is 2 to 7 days depending on the design and size of the house.
What items are included and not included in your price?
Processing and erection of the construction members, supply of door and window fittings, impregnation and varnishing of the wooden members, roof insulation, paneling and roof covering with tiles or shingles are included in the price. Cost of supply of electricity, water, foundation concrete and cost of obtaining license are borne by the customer.

How many stories can you build?
There is no limitation to the number of stories for our wooden structures.
How long does your wooden houses endure?
- According to the results of the researches in this field, the life of wooden houses is theoretically infinite if they are properly maintained.
The building of the orphanage in Büyükada has been robustly standing since longer than one century.
Does rain, sea water or humidity affect the wooding structure? Does it pervious to water?
- Our impregnated and varnished wooden structures are absolutely impervious to water.
How often is maintenance necessary?
- Today's high technology varnishes offer maintenance-free durability for minimum 5 years.
Does the wood get blacken over the time?
Owing to the impregnation of the wood (application of the wood preservative), blackening and pest infestation of the wood can be prevented. |
